A year after Kimmo Pörsti's solo album “Past and Present” was released, he thought about a new one. In the midst of turbulent times, Rafael Pacha sent his new songs to Kimmo to be recorded for Rafael's solo album. The two counted on each other to interact on those projects. The idea came easy; what if we combine our efforts into one project - and do a joint “solo” record?

So, we are not talking about solo albums by Rafael or Kimmo, but a “solo albums” by Rafael and Kimmo.  It was a natural continuation because of the very intense collaboration: The Guildmaster was born when Kimmo asked Rafael if he was interested in such a project – and Rafael's contribution has already been invaluable on Kimmo's solo albums.

On “Views from the Inner World” and “Sea of Mirrors”, both have allowed their own musical influences to show. Rafael and Kimmo deliberately distanced themselves a bit from The Guildmaster; with “Pacha and Pörsti” -project the music is perhaps closer to symphonic prog without so many folk-influences….but they certainly do exist!
